A camera has only one goal: to even out the light in any scene. While that often works, in extremely bright situations, the camera will under-expose or “squint” just as we do. To prevent undersexposure, open the exposure compensation scale on your camera and move the indicator to the + side. Begin by adding +.67 (two-thirds) of a stop.
