It’s new and promises to be a wonderful Saturday morning. Yes, the new Rose Garden Workshop on Saturday, June 29 is about to sell out. Max Cap enrollment is 16 and we’re nearly there. We’ll be in the CBG Rose Garden practicing shutter and aperture changes in morning light. Even though I don’t sell them, tripods are strongly encouraged since they hold your camera without complaint while you compose the shot. To register, visit www.chicagobotanic.org/adulted. Then scroll down to the Photographing Roses. Class meets on only one Saturday, June 29, from 8 – 11 am. As always, class is limited to DSLR or Mirrorless cameras. No phones or pads, please.
About Jack
A classically trained musician since childhood, Jack Carlson always had the “ear” of an artist. It was only a short step to develop the artist’s “eye” as well.
The portfolio of this certified photographer reveals images that emphasize mood and composition. Their purpose is to present a feeling in addition to portrayal of person, place or thing. Sometimes that feeling is nostalgia; other times it is serenity.
Each photograph tells a story.
