I spotted this green “walking stick” in a hedge near the 3C (aka Carlson Camera Clubhouse) so just had to take a picture. As you can see, a 70mm focal length certainly was not enough lens. The shot also suffers from lack of light. YES, even pictures of creatures like this one can benefit from a bit of diffused light that’s stopped down. Don’t go blasting away with untempered flash then wonder why disappointment abounds. Remember the See-Think-Act school of photography. If you’re not familiar with it, why not take a class.
