Look for Unusual Signs of Spring

February 16, 2020

I was going to photograph dripping water as the classic sign of spring but two things happened: 1. I didn’t want to wait that long and 2. I thought other sights just might be more interesting. In order to find the 3 pictured in this edition of Weekly Photo Tips, all I needed to do was put on my old boots, grab a camera and monopod and start walking. Here’s the camera info for each shot.  Camera info provided for those of you who know who you are.

Sunset with Magnolia Bud: 170 Focal Length, f11 @ 400, ISO 64, e/v -1.0, WB Sun

Leaf: 70mm Focal Length, f8@250, ISO 400, e/v +1.67, WB Cloudy

Bird on Branch: 200mm Focal Length, f8@200, e/v -.3, WB Sun

Returning robins brought spring. Now they don’t leave.

Setting sun creates magnolia silhouette.

Emerging leaf = spring thoughts despite being brown.
