External Flash: It’s all about the options

March 31, 2020

Camera’s built-in flash creates bad reflection on photographer.

While you camera’s built-in flash tube may help you see the light, the position and direction of the light it emits are limited to a single direction. An external flash that’s connected to the camera by a coiled cord or wireless remote will provide positioning options. Think of the angles and shadows you can add to any scene just by moving the main light source.

Moving external flash still requires thought.

Move flash for soft light on details.
