Don’t fawn over the fawn

September 8, 2019

Shoot only with a camera.

When the fawn shows up in your yard, don’t just stand around fawning over it. Grab a camera with the longest lens you own (or can hand-hold) and take some pictures. Remember to use a wide enough aperture to keep the shutter speed high. While this will usually prevent blur, it could cause the auto focus to miss the intended subject. This image was shot at f 3.2 which almost didn’t hold the focus far enough into the scene. Think fast so you can get a shot you will dearly enjoy showing to friends and neighbors.
