Recently I went to the Chicago Botanic Garden to see this year’s version of Lightscape. Yes, it was worth the investment of both time and money to get a ticket. Then strolling around the revised and revamped route to see what new visual delights waited around the bend made it all worthwhile. Get there whenever your schedule permits–just book a time, grab your mask, camera and go. For times, check out www.chicagobotanic.org.
I dialed up a high ISO setting (10,000) to raise the shutter speed. Then, with that setting and an f1.8 on the 28mm lens, I could shoot without a camera support which was a good thing since tripods/monopods are not allowed in the exhibit.
