Photographing Orchids: “India Blooms” starts Feb. 21

February 21 @ 8:00 am - 11:00 am

Orchids come in all shapes and sizes.

The Orchid Show at the Chicago Botanic Garden is always  favorite photo venue, and this year’s India Blooms will be no exception. Each of the 3 class meetings will find us in a different area of the show where we will need to concentrate on camera settings once a subject has been selected. While a macro or close-focusing lens is ideal, alternatives to a macro lens will be presented so join us with whatever gear is currently in your camera bag. A tripod is certainly your friend so if you don’t have one, consider the possibilities. Questions about tripods, cameras or macro gear? Send a note to me: jack@jackcarlsonphotos.com.
Remember: This class meets at 8 am so we can use tripods to photograph the show before it opens to the general public. As always, class is limited to DSLR or Mirrorless cameras. To register, go to www.chicagobotanic.org/adulted. Find the Photography section and scroll down to the class.
