Ever wanted to explore the grounds and gardens of an English manor house but couldn’t get there? The Manor House in Mettawa is a very close second to those you’ll see in travel magazines and we’ll be there on June 8th. After a brief orientation, you’ll be able to stroll around the grounds until you feel at home as you look for (and find!) images for the assignment. I’ll be around to offer suggestions and advice. Lunch is included for the Friday session, and we’ll enjoy it on the terrace behind the house. More camera and exploration time is available after lunch until the workshop concludes at 3 pm. DSLR cameras only, no phones or tablets please.
In response to student requests, we will enjoy students’ images from Mettawa when we meet at the CBG on Monday, June 11 at 9 am. This workshop runs only once each year so don’t wait to enroll. As you know, there are 3 ways to register:
1. Call 847.835.8261
2. Visit www.chicagobotanic.org/education
3. Membership and Info Desk staff are now able to take registrations during periods of relative calm.
You will receive a map/directions to the house upon completion of your registration.
