Cemeteries Class is Good to Go on Oct. 30

October 30, 2018 @ 10:00 am - 1:00 pm

The stark simplicity of military headstones.

Yes, it’s back: Our annual photo class visit to Chicago area cemeteries. While you may never have thought that picture taking in a cemetery is a good idea, let me assure you that’s it’s a wonderful yet challenging experience that’s certain to result in some keeper images. We’ll begin at the CBG for practice among the pillars and urns of the English Walled Garden. Our second meeting will be a smaller cemetery so different camera settings will need to be dialed in. The 3rd class meeting will find us at that Chicago favorite: Graceland. Yes, I’ve just received approval for us to return so that we can capture images of the final resting places of such Chicago notables as Armour, Field and Banks (yes, that one whose stone is now covered with Wrigley Field ivy.) Reserve 4 Tuesday mornings and note that this class begins at 10 am.

By now you know that there are 3 Ways to Register
1. Call 847.835.8261
2. Visit www.chicagobotanic.org/education
3. Membership and Info Desk staff are now able to take registrations during periods of relative calm.
