It only happens once each year so Save-the-Date: November 7 (1 Thursday) for our annual trip to Volo Bog. We’re fortunate to have the IDNR Naturalist take our class on a guided tour of the walkways that lead out to the Heart of the Bog and this year, we should be there at the height of the tamarack golden color season. This one-off class that fills quickly and is so popular, people have been known to be “working from home” that day to join the Volo fun. Bring any lens(es) and your own lunch. Directions will be sent with the handouts. Tripods are always welcome for that long lens you’re thinking of bringing. I know mine will be making the trip. As always, this photo field trip is limited to DSLR or Mirrorless cameras. No phones or pads, please. To register, visit chicagobotanic.org/adulted. Then scroll down to Photography and find the class listed by date. Autumn Photography at Volo Bog, November 7 ( 1 Thursday), 9-3 pm at the bog.
