Evening Intermediate Class starts 7.17

Your pictures will burst with excitement.

Now that you know about camera settings, it’s time to put them to good use and elevate the interest in your pictures. This class will make that happen. We’ll concentrate on lead lines, frames and mot importantly finding a subject. This class meets on 6 Tuesday evenings from 6-9 pm to it’s a perfect time to be at the Chicago Botanic Garden. As you probably know by now, there are 3 Ways to Register

3. Membership and Info Desk staff are now able to take registrations during periods of relative calm.

Weekly Photo Tip

Watch that flash!

I was recently at a holiday party and decided to photograph some of the guests with the camera I carry when I don’t want to carry a camera. It’s a fixed-lens (35mm equiv. focal length) with a built-in flash that’s directly over the lens. The light from the flash goes directly into the subject’s eyes and creates the dreaded Red-Eye (aka retinal bounce.) Ask your subjects to look slightly down or a bit away from the camera so your pictures won’t look like this one.
