Today was planned some weeks ago. It was all about going to the Swedish-American Museum in Chicago with friends who were unable to make it to the opening of my exhibit “Natural Scenics.”

It also became a good time to meet the members of the speaking committee from a local garden club. They were interested in seeing my images and interviewing me for a presentation to their members. Knowing that these activities were going to happen, I just had to bring a camera. I decided to use an old favorite that’s so good, Nikon stopped making it many years back. You’ve probably never heard of the 20-35 f2.8D. It works well as I think you will see from all the shots in this blog.
